Lafferty TV Goes to Rockingham

(Rockingham, NC) – Chris Lafferty and Motorsports TV are at the famed Rockingham Speedway this weekend for the return of NASCAR. Local NASCAR Driver Makes Daytime TV Debut

(Concord, NC) - It's a little bit NASCAR and a whole lot Rock 'N Roll, and for Camping World Truck Series driver Chris Lafferty Chris Lafferty's Motorsports TV is, “A dream come true, for sure."

New Year's Eve Lafferty's magazine format racing show hit the Fox Sports Network. The off the cuff style is 100% Team Lafferty.

The NASCAR team owner and driver says, “They've given me enough rope on this project that I'm kinda getting to do what I want to do anyway."

The native Californian with an infectious energy moved to North Carolina 15 years ago to pursue his racing dream. He says in the racing world where big money sponsors are key, this shot at the small screen will set number 89 apart.

Lafferty says of his on-the-track competition, “They've got me by dollars and cents because they've got the sponsors, they've got the family money and so on and so forth. But I love the camera so I think that's gonna be my equalizer."

Lafferty shopped around a late night talk show concept until Fox Sports came calling. He created and hosts Chris Lafferty's Motorsports TV and started his own production company. For now, he relies on friends and family for talent, even his 13 year old Hannah.

Lafferty's wife & support system Tracy says seeing the dream become reality is icing on the cake. She laughs and says, “By the first commercial I was sitting down and enjoying saying wow, this is totally cool. Very excited."

Lafferty's 26 week deal with Fox Sports already has two episodes in the bag with more in production.

He plans to keep his friends close, and hopes this is just the beginning, “I appreciate where I'm at 'cause I know where I've been..."

(CONCORD, N.C.)- Lafferty Motorsports, Pier 89 Productions and Fox Sports Network will officially debut “Chris Lafferty’s Motorsports TV” on Saturday, December 31st, 2011 at 7AM/ET.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver and owner Chris Lafferty will host the show. Lafferty spoke recently on the upcoming series premiere. “I am so excited to host this show,” says Lafferty. “It has been a lot of work getting to this point!”

FOX Sports Network (FSN) is owned by the mega network FOX, reaching more than 80 million homes nationally. Major FOX owned networks include FOX Sports, SPEED, and FX.

“Chris Lafferty’s Motorsports TV” is a magazine style motorsports TV show. Lafferty brings new life to learning cool things in the motorsports industry. With an uncanny ability to say it in ways that those young and old alike can relate to, this is sure to be the sought-after performance educational television show.

You'll get an inside look at the world of racing and see what only the privileged few have ever seen. Lafferty will take you behind-the-scenes through race shops; he will visit with manufacturers who have been instrumental in motorsports; he will show you how NASCAR uses templates to keep a level playing field and he will even dissect high dollar racing engines just to teach you how they make power.

Episode One will also mark Hannah Lafferty’s TV debut as she, Lafferty’s daughter, will host a segment titled “Hannah’s Corner” which will feature topics that are a bit more kid friendly.

Lafferty came to a cross roads early in life. He was either going to Hollywood to chase television, or North Carolina to chase NASCAR. He chose NASCAR and moved to North Carolina, homeless and without a job. After making it work in NASCAR, Lafferty still had that itch for television. Lafferty created this show and serves as producer. Also serving as producer is Paul Streiner, famously known for his award winning short films. Streiner is a television film graduate of Bowling Green University. The rest of the cast include actor Jamie Caron, local talent sensation Marvin Curry and the legendary Rob Godek.

Lafferty To Host New National TV Show

(Concord, NC) - Lafferty Motorsports is pleased to announce that Chris Lafferty has signed a deal with FOX Sports Network to host a new TV show starting January 2012. The show, titled “Chris Lafferty’s Motorsports TV”, is a magazine style motorsports TV show that has Chris’s entertaining style to keep it enjoyable for the audience. This show will air two times weekly for 26 straight weeks.

This will also mark Hannah Lafferty’s TV debut as she (Chris’s daughter) will host a segment titled “Hannah’s Corner” which will feature topics that are a bit more kid friendly.

“I am so excited to host this show; it has been a lot of work getting to this point!” Chris Lafferty later added that this national TV show will reach over 80 million homes.

Chris Lafferty moved to North Carolina with only a dream. Living in a moving truck and having no job and no home, Chris worked hard becoming a well respected engine builder in NASCAR then forming his own performance engine company. Chris has written for many magazines and in 2004 formed Lafferty Motorsports, fielding a truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Indy. Steadily over the years the Lafferty Company has grown.
